Man shot in Austin drive-by

A 34-year-old man was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood Friday afternoon.

At 2:31 p.m., the victim was standing on the corner in the 5400 block of West Walton Street when someone in a green car fired shots, then drove away northbound on North Long Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the mouth and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
