Man shot in Chicago Lawn

A man was wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 36-year-old was walking through an alley at 8:40 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Maplewood when a male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
