A man was struck by errant gunfire Friday evening in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Just after 7 p.m., the 28-year-old saw someone open fire while chasing another man in the 4300 block of West Potomac, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the lower right leg and taken to Norwegian American Hospital in good condition. Police said he was not the intended target.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
