2 shot in North Lawndale

Two men were wounded in a North Lawndale neighborhood shooting Monday night on the Southwest Side.

The men, ages 21 and 22, were both shot shortly before 8 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Kildare, according to Chicago Police.

The younger man was shot in the arm, while the older man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. They both later walked into Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were listed in good condition.

Additional information was not immediately available.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
