A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

About 5 p.m., the boy was shot in the 7900 block of South Escanaba, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left ankle and took himself to Trinity Hospital where he was in good condition, police said.

The boy was being uncooperative with officers. Additional information was not immediately available.
