A man was shot and seriously wounded early Sunday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was a back seat passenger about 3:30 a.m. in a vehicle that was exiting a parking space in the 4700 block of South Loomis when a male open fire at the vehicle, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered two gunshot wounds to the groin and was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
