A boy was shot early Sunday in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

At 2:20 a.m., the 15-year-old boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 8500 block of South Carpenter when he realized he’d been shot. according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
