A 13-year-old boy was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Trumbull, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
