A man has been charged with fatally shooting another man and dumping his body in a wildlife area in northwest Indiana last week.

Mark Huber, 41, was reported missing by his girlfriend on Nov. 22, according to Goshen, Indiana police.

Three days later, Goshen’s body was found in the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife area in La Porte County, Indiana, authorities said. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

On Tuesday, authorities arrested 41-year-old Scotty R. Irvin of Elkhart, Indiana on a murder charge, police said.

Police said Huber and Irvin knew one another and the murder was not a random act.

Irvin remains held at the Elkhart County Jail, authorities said. He is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 8.
