Bears guard Kyle Long told the podcast “Pardon My Take” that he will have surgery on his shoulder labrum in nine weeks after recovering from ankle surgery.

Long had right ankle surgery performed by Charlotte, N.C., surgeon Robert Anderson the last week of November.

Long told the podcast, which aired Monday, that he tore “pretty much everything you can tear in my right ankle, aside from the Achilles” when he was rolled up on during a shovel pass Week 10 in Tampa. His ankle will be in a cast for the next eight or nine weeks.

Long said he was reprimanded by GM Ryan Pace for sniping at a Twitter troll two weeks ago.

“He was dead serious,” Long said. “It was wrong for me to do that.”
