A 53-year-old man was shot to death Monday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person down about 11:45 a.m. found Quenten Wright on the ground near his home in the 11400 block of South King Drive with a gunshot wound to the head and one gunshot wound to each arm, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Wright was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 3:31 p.m., authorities said.

Area South detectives have opened a homicide investigation.
