Leonard Floyd left Sunday’s game in the second quarter, riding to the Bears’ locker room in a cart and later being diagnosed with a concussion.

That’s scary news for the rookie outside linebacker, who now has two such head injuries in a five-week span. Floyd was taken off the field at MetLife Stadium on a backboard Nov. 20, and missed the next game .

Floyd, who has seven sacks this season, appeared to be shaken up on the Redskins’ first possession, but left with a towel over his head one quarter later.

“I played my heart out for my teammates and I told him I’m going to try to get that win for him,” said outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, who said Floyd was doing well. “It was tough.”

Cornerback Tracy Porter said the rookie needs to take his time before returning.

“These concussions happen repeatedly,” Porter said. “It’s a thing that’s of importance in this league in this day and age. Two in five weeks is something that’s pretty serious.”
