A woman gave birth in an SUV early Monday in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.
At 1:58 a.m., paramedics helped the woman deliver her baby near the intersection of West 43rd and South Dearborn streets on her way to hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The baby and mother were taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in good condition, fire officials said.
