The Smashing Pumpkins — Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlain and Jeff Schroeder — are heading out on the road this spring in the just-announcedreboot of their 2015 In Plainsong Tour, which will make a stop in Chicago on April 14 at the Civic Opera House, 20 N. Wacker.

Tickets (49.50-$75) for the 7:30 p.m. “acoustic-electro” concert, which will feature Liz Phair as the opener, will go on sale at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at the theater box office, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or at ticketmaster.com

The tour kicks off March 22 in Portland, Ore. The band is reportedly setting its sights on recording a new album once the tour ends in April.
