No, these people aren’t counting votes to determine a new Cubs slogan for the 2016 season, they’re tallying votes to help decide the next president of the United States … in a popcorn bucket.

CNN’s Iowa Caucus coverage Monday night converged on Ankeny, Iowa, where officials used an Iowa Cubs popcorn bucket to count votes. Ankeny is just a few miles north of Des Moines, where the Cubs’ Triple-AAA affiliate plays its home games.

With 81 percent of the votes counted, Hillary Clinton (50 percent) leads Bernie Sanders (49 percent) in a tight race among the Democrats, according to CNN.

On the Republican side, Ted Cruz leads with 28 percent of the vote. With 99 percent of votes counted, Donald Trump is second with 24 percent.
