Man shot in Archer Heights

A man was seriously wounded Sunday nigh in an Archer Heights neighborhood shooting on the Southwest Side.

At 8:10 p.m., a 23-year-old man was in a vehicle in the 4700 block of South Hamlin Avenue when someone from the street fired shots, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and showed up at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn where he was listed in serious condition.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
