Bears marketing executive leaves for Los Angeles Rams

Bears vice president of ticketing and marketing Chris Hibbs is leaving the team and heading west. Hibbs is joining Legends Sales & Marketing as general manager and chief revenue officer of the Los Angeles Rams’ new stadium complex.

In January, NFL owners approved the Rams’ move from St. Louis to Los Angeles. The Rams’ new home in Inglewood, Calif. — an 80,000-seat complex south of Los Angeles — is expected to cost nearly $3 billion.

The cutting-edge venue, which wowed NFL owners when it was presented by Rams owner Stan Kroenke, is expected to be ready by the 2019 season. It also will host other events.

Hibbs joined the Bears in 2006. He oversaw numerous changes at Halas Hall and Soldier Field. It includes the expansion of Halas Hall, which now includes a large event and media center sponsored by PNC Bank.
