A 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest Friday evening in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened at 6:24 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Flournoy, according to Chicago Police.

The boy, a documented gang member, took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
