A man was shot during a robbery Tuesday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 10:20 p.m., the 20-year-old man was standing in the alley in the 4700 block of West Jackson when another male walked up and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police.

The male then pulled out a handgun and shot the 20-year-old in the left leg, police said. The robber made off with the victim’s wallet and an undisclosed amount of money.

The man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
