A 17-year-old boy was shot in his right hand and left thigh in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in Austin on the city’s West Side.

He was shot around 9:20 p.m. as he sat in the back seat of a parked vehicle in the 5000 block of West Thomas Street, according to the police, who said a green four-door car drove by and someone inside fired shots.

The teenager was being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital.
