A 22-year-old man was shot in a leg as he walked on the sidewalk in the 4800 block of West Barry Avenue in Belmont Cragin on the Northwest Side around 9 p.m. Saturday, the police said.

They said two people walked up to him and shot him.

The wounded man was being treated at Community First Medical Center, the police said.
