Home burglaries reported on North Side

Police are warning residents of burglaries in the North Center, Lake View and Uptown neighborhoods on the North Side.

At least three burglaries have been reported in these neighborhoods since March 4, according to a community alert from police. The burglars used force to enter the homes before removing property.

The burglaries happened:

• between March 4 and March 7 in the 500 block of West Hawthorne Place;
• between 1:40 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. on March 6 in the 3600 block of North Damen Avenue;
• and at 1:45 a.m. on March 8 in the 4500 block of North Dover Street.
