Six people were shot across Chicago from about midnight into early Friday, including four wounded in separate attacks within 25 minutes of each other.

Most recently, a 33-year-old man was shot while riding in a vehicle about 3:30 a.m. in Gold Coast. It was in the 1200 block of North State when someone in another vehicle opened fire, striking him in the leg. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, according to Chicago Police.

About 1:45 a.m., another person was shot while riding in a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 57 near 111th Street in Morgan Park, according to Illinois State Police. The male was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, but his age and condition were unknown.

At 1:37 a.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg in Roseland’s 9500 block of South LaSalle on the South Side. His condition was stabilized at Christ Medical Center, Chicago Police said.

About the same time, someone shot a 25-year-old man in the jaw while he was walking in an alley in the 7600 block of South Sangamon in Auburn Gresham, police said. He was listed in critical condition at Christ.

Ten minutes earlier, an 18-year-old man was wounded in a Back of the Yards neighborhood drive-by shooting. He was on a sidewalk in the 5000 block of South Paulina at 1:23 a.m. when someone opened fire from a blue van, striking him in the forearm. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Just before midnight, someone tried to rob a 48-year-old man and then shot him several times in the torso in the 2200 block of West Adams on the Near West Side, police said. He later showed up at Stroger, where he was listed in critical condition.

The spate of gunfire followed a bloody St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago that saw another 15 people shot, leaving a 16-year-old boy dead.
