A man robbed a Guaranty Bank branch Thursday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

He walked into the branch at 4620 S. Damon Ave. at 6:36 p.m. and demanded money, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. He then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber did not show a weapon and no one was inured in the robbery, authorities said.

He is described as black man, in his late 20s to mid-30s, standing about 6-feet-1 with a medium build, the FBI said. The suspect was wearing a blue knit hat with a black stripe and a “Ford” logo, a gray jacket and a black and gray striped shirt.
