Cubs manager Joe Maddon

MESA, Ariz. – Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, who apparently believes the Cubs 6-13 Cactus League record counts (or is otherwise significant), told the Washington Post he might take out anti-Ricketts ads “telling them all what a rotten job they’re doing with the Chicago Cubs.”

Sports Illustrated released its regional baseball preview cover featuring the Cubs, along with a prediction they’ll play in the World Series, and lose to the Houston Astros (in a Series underscoring the virtues of tanking for multiple seasons).

Just another spring training Tuesday in March for the Cubs.
