Emergency repairs have shut down all but one inbound lane of the Stevenson Expressway at King Drive on Tuesday morning, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The inbound Stevenson is reduced to one lane between the Dan Ryan Expressway and Lake Shore Drive because of emergency bridge repairs, according to IDOT.

The repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day Tuesday, and in the meantime, drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
