Man shot in Irving Park

A man was shot early Thursday in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 42-year-old man was driving in the 4300 block of North Kedzie Avenue at 1:30 a.m. when someone fired shots, hitting him in the leg, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
