The police are cautioning West Side residents after three burglaries in South Austin in which someone broke in to homes through the front door and stole items.

According to a community alert from 15th District police, the burglaries happened:

• Between noon and 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 5200 block of West Quincy.

• Between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 5000 block of West Washington.

• Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the 200 block of South Lotus.
