Police are warning Lake View residents about two burglaries last week in the North Side neighborhood.

In each burglary, someone forcibly entered a garage and stole property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened some time between Feb. 29 and March 1 in the 1300 block of West Eddy Street and between March 1 and 2 in the 1200 block of West Newport, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
