A man was shot in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side Tuesday night.

The 31-year-old was walking in the 12100 block of South Emerald shortly before 6 p.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in the back, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
