Man shot in Austin

A 22-year-old man was shot Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was walking about 10:45 p.m. in the first block of North Latrobe when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Mount Sinai, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
