A 50-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded Tuesday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Emergency crews responded at 2:27 p.m. to the shooting in the 4300 block of West Jackson, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the abdomen and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
