A body that was pulled from Lake Michigan on Sunday afternoon near Loyola Beach in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood has been identified.

The body was pulled from the water just after 3 p.m. near the 1000 block of West Pratt, according to Chicago Police.

He has since been identified as 49-year-old Stephen Taylor of the 1500 block of West Jarvis, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy did not rule on cause and manner of death, with results pending further investigation.

Area North detectives are investigating.
