EL PASO, Texas (AP) — The Army is searching for a suspect after an “active shooter” was reported as a West Texas military hospital.

Fort Bliss spokesman Gil Telles says an “active shooter” has been confirmed at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. Telles says he has no information on casualties or arrests. However, the entire hospital complex and its adjacent veterans’ hospital have been placed on lockdown.

The incident was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Mountain Time Tuesday.
