A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The 25-year-old was in the 600 block of East 46th Street at 5:40 p.m. when someone walked up to him and fired shots, police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
