A 19-year-old man who was shot late Sunday night in west suburban Aurora was dropped off at a local hospital.

The man told investigators he was walking in the 1200 block of Grand Boulevard in Aurora when he saw multiple people running and as he fled, he heard gunshots and felt that he had been struck, according to a statement from Aurora police.

He kept running to the 1100 block of East Galena Boulevard in Aurora, where he called someone to take him to the hospital, police said. His wound is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said the victim provided limited information to investigators.
