A woman was shot Thursday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 18-year-old was walking in the 5200 block of West Le Moyne Street at 4:03 p.m. when a male exited a maroon van nearby and opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then jumped back into the van, which sped away westbound.

The woman suffered gunshot wounds to the left and right forearms, and was taken in good condition to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said. She was not being cooperative with investigators.
