The Bears swapped out quarterbacks at the bottom of their depth chart Thursday, signing undrafted free agent Dalyn Williams from Dartmouth and waiving Matt Blanchard.
At 5-11, 205 pounds, Williams tried out with the Bears during rookie minicamp last month. He threw for 7,458 yards on 620 completions during 39 college games, and ran for 1,494 yards on 446 tries.
Blanchard ends his second stint with the Bears, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and re-signed him last year after he played for the Panthers, Packers, Browns and Colts. He’s never appeared in a regular-season game.
Williams will be the fourth quarterback entering next week’s mandatory minicamp — behind Jay Cutler, Brian Hoyer and David Fales.
