Two men got into an argument and started shooting at each other Saturday morning at the White Palace Grill — a 24-hour diner at 1159 S. Canal St. in the South Loop that’s been operating since 1939 — but amazingly no one was hurt, according to the police.

But the all-hours diner suffered some damage from the gunfire, which happened around 6:30 a.m, according to the police, who said both men ran away.
