A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 27-year-old man was standing in the street at 5:17 a.m. in the 2400 block of West 64th Street when three males walked up and one of them pulled out a gun and fired at him, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the groin and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
