A man was shot Monday night during a robbery in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

About 10:45 p.m., the 27-year-old was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 3800 block of West Fillmore when two males walked up and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police.

As he was attempting to drive away, the man was shot in the left arm and right hand, police said. He drove to the 1200 block of South Troy, where authorities were notified and he was subsequently taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
