Two Aurora men were charged with shooting at a man Thursday in the west suburb.
Aaron Tolamac, 21, and 18-year-old Jesus Ferrel walked up to an 18-year-old man they both knew as he exited his home about 2:20 p.m. in the 200 block of North Fourth Street, according to the Aurora police, who said Tolamac pulled out a handgun and fired at the man multiple times, with none of the shots hitting him.
Tolamac and Ferrel ran to a black Chevrolet Malibu parked nearby, and an 18-year-old woman drove them east and away from the area, police said. An officer later spotted the car and followed it to the 1600 block of Liberty, where Tolamac got out and started running away, police said. He was located in the 300 block of Oakview Avenue and taken into custody.
A short time later, officers stopped the Malibu in the 2000 block of East New York Street, where Ferrel and the woman were arrested, according to police. The woman was later released without being charged.
Tolamac and Ferrel were each charged with attempted murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm, police said, and Tolamac also was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and possession of marijuana.
