A man was shot and critically wounded in the Gresham neighborhood Sunday afternoon on the South Side.

He showed up at Holy Cross Hospital about 4:10 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the side and told investigators the attack happened in the 7800 block of South Hamilton, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The man later was transferred in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police said he wasn’t cooperating with the investigation.
