A 23-year-old man was seriously wounded in a Calumet Heights neighborhood shooting Friday night on the South Side.

He suffered gunshot wounds to both arms and the face just after 8 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Chappel, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
