A west suburban man has been sentenced to six years in prison for selling drugs near an Aurora park in 2014.

Michael A. Turner Sr., 44, of the 0-100 block of North Ohio Street in Aurora was convicted June 15 of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, both felonies, according to a statement from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

On the afternoon of July 17, 2014, Turner sold 4.8 grams of cocaine to another person in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 400 block of East Indian Trail in Aurora, prosecutors said. The parking lot is within 1,000 feet of a park.

Judge Donald M. Tegeler Jr. handed down the six-year sentence Wednesday, according to the statement. Turner was given credit for 52 days served in the Kane County Jail.
