A woman was seriously wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the West Ridge neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 4 a.m., the 20-year-old was walking in the 6200 block of North Talman when three males started chasing her, according to Chicago Police. She then ran into her apartment, at which point one of the males fired several shots through her doorway.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in serious condition, police said.
