A man was shot Monday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 21-year-old man was shot in the lower back in the 600 block of South Homan Avenue about 9:30 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.
