Two teenagers — one 14 and the other 18 — were shot and wounded by two people who walked up to them as they stood in the 300 block of East 131st Place in Riverdale on the Far South Side around 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the police, who said the 14-year-old was shot in his left leg and the older teen was shot in his right hip.

Both were being treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
