A 2-year-old girl was fatally struck by a Jeep on Sunday afternoon in southwest suburban Palos Township.

About 2:15 p.m., Massa Qarajeh ran across 104th Avenue near Calumet Sag Road and was hit by the Jeep, which was southbound on 104th, according to the Cook County sheriff’s and medical examiner’s offices.

Massa was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she died at 3:14 p.m., authorities said. She lived in the 7300 block of West 111th Street in Worth.

Sheriff’s police are investigating the crash. No citations had been issued as of Tuesday morning.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
