A woman found dead near a forest preserve Monday morning in southwest suburban Orland Park committed suicide, an autopsy has found.

The body was found about 7:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Orland Grassland South near 104th Avenue and Eagle Ridge Drive in Orland Park, according to the Cook County sheriff’s and medical examiner’s offices.

She was identified Tuesday as 39-year-old Theresa Hilton of the 10400 block of Wyoming Court in Orland Park, about two blocks away from where she was found, authorities said.

An autopsy found she died of a gunshot wound to the head and ruled the death a suicide.
